Emergency Information & Seizure First Aid
If a child is actively having a seizure, remain calm and follow the first aid protocols below. For immediate consultations, contact our clinic coordinators.

In Case of Life-Threatening Crises
If your child is in immediate danger or is having breathing arrest, please call your local ambulance service (108) or go to the nearest pediatric emergency ICU hospital clinic.
What to do during a seizure
Stay Calm & Track Time
Look at a clock or start a timer. Note exactly when the seizure started.
Protect from Injury
Clear away sharp objects, hard edges, or hazards. Place something soft like a folded jacket under their head.
Turn Onto Side
Gently turn the child onto their side (recovery position). This keeps their airway clear and prevents choking.
Do NOT Insert Anything in Mouth
Never put spoons, keys, fingers, or water into the child's mouth. It can cause choking or dental injuries.
Stay Until It Ends
Stay with the child and talk reassuringly. Once it ends, they may feel confused or sleepy. Let them rest.
When to call an ambulance (108)
- The seizure lasts longer than 5 minutes.
- The child has difficulty breathing or is choking.
- One seizure follows another without the child waking up in between.
- This is the child's first-ever seizure.
- The seizure happens while the child is in water.
