Video EEG: what parents should know
Your child will sit or lie down comfortably while a technician applies small sensors to the scalp with a gel. The sensors only listen - nothing is sent into the brain. The test usually takes 30 minutes to an hour. For some children we record during sleep, which is especially helpful for epilepsy diagnosis. Bring a favourite toy or video. You can stay with your child the whole time.
